Each year we focus on three non-profits for our "Charity of the Season". 
RJWC members are introduced to the organization, its mission, and then are encouraged to donate items that have been requested.

OUR WINTER CHARITY OF THE SEASON IS:

The Riverside-area Refugee Resettlement team (RARRT) is our Winter Charity of the Season. RARRT is an expansion of the work Ascension Lutheran Riverside & Riverside Presbyterian Church started nearly 15 years ago. They work tirelessly – in partnership with RefugeeOne – to sponsor refugee families from across the globe by helping to find and fund affordable housing, furnish and stock their apartments, provide food until benefits kick in, and fulfill other needs for clothing, books, toys, and more. Additionally, they provide mentorship and friendship to these families as they navigate living in a new country. 

We are excited to be supporting RARRT this season!! Items can also be delivered to our team leader’s home by texting (773.633.4121).

We are focusing our efforts on cleaning products and toiletries: 

Kitchen needs - sponges, degreaser, scouring powder, paper towels, window/glass cleaner, anti-bacterial spray, liquid hand soap in pump dispenser, napkins, dishwashing soap, hand soap refills

Bathroom needs - scouring products, soap scum remover, toilet paper, hand soaps, toilet cleaner, laundry stain remover, laundry detergent, carpet stain removers

Toiletries - body lotion with SHEA butter (this is a big need for families from Africa), toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine napkins (not tampons), soap bars, men's razors and blades

Diapers for 6 months through 2 years
